Tomas Tesarik was born in 1977 in Prague City, but he spent his childhood at Pikovice - lovely little town close to Prague. The first sign of his interest in art has appered in childhood already indirectly influenced by his grand-father who was a sculptor. It is hard to date the Tomas´s art work start but we can catch an orientation by the year 1997 - the time of his first oil paintings. In that time he has actively started to study drawing and nude under the guidance of professor F.B.Jirku and oil painting at Prague atelier of accademic painter Vera Steflova, the courses of who he has been attending till today. That´s obvious that the Tomas´s strong interest in painting brought him to one Prague well known shop with art tools - AltaMira, where he works as a salesman. Tomas manages to connect a civil employment with his hobby and we must admit that there are not many painters in Prague who have so good knowledge and experiences with art tools like Tomas. He used to say about his art: "There are the surrealist pictures in my art which I appreciate the most. They are deeply touching me personally which is proved by the fact that I will never be able to sell some of them. Every picture captures time and place of my personal storry and express the feelings left in my heart after. Some pictures includes also the afterlight in the meaning "I can see it now this way" catching my balancing with the facts. It always concerns the difficult and painful feelings which I am able to express only by colours and forms. I also like to paint the landscapes always fascinated by the endless pallete of natural colours. I thinks that my landscapes make an antipole to my surrealist pictures. There are a lot off copies of originals by world- well- known painters because I believe that tnere is nothing better than to learn from craftsmasters". Tomas Tesarik belongs to the infrequent group of young thoughtful talents who under the preassure of their own storries feel the need to get in their mysterious self trying to find the unknown strengths and mechanism of inner space. His surrealist pictures don´t catch the things of peripheral reality but they fix his own inner models. If you astudy pictures by Tomas Tesarik you will hear him word-painting you his interesting storries.
