Sergey Svetlakov, born in 1961, Russia. Studied stage design and costume
at Theatre Academy of Saint-Petersburg in 1981-1986.
Afterwards, for a few years worked with several Russian theatres as a
designer of drama and opera plays.
In 1991 The State Russian television shoots a half-hour film about Svetlakov's
creative work.
At the same time Sergey Svetlakov practices painting, black and white art
and porcelain dolls in historical and Haute Couture fantasy costumes.
At present, generally occupies himself with black and white art- Male nude
drawing series, creating them from life only.
In his drawings the artist joins together realistic method precision and
psychologism with neo-classicism harmony.
