Since I was eight years old, I’ have wanted to paint. I started art classes at 13 and never
stopped. I believe each person possesses a unique response to life and that it can be
expressed in many ways, one of which is Art. My creative method is to allow whatever I
feel to rise to the surface and be expressed in my artwork. I watch the painting form and
coalesce on the canvas. Without consciously drawing and designing, I paint in a kind of a
trance. For about two years, my artwork focused on middle-aged people taking a chance and
pursuing their dreams. That is continuing in my watercolors, but the direction of my oil
paintings is turning toward nude semi-abstraction. I thrill to the excitement of creating,
regardless of what it is. My painting is my personal adventure, my contribution to the world
and what makes life interesting.
