I grew up in Vendsyssel (northern most part of Denmark) and received my \"initial\" training in the U.S.A. at University of Minnesota. I have worked in the IT-industry for more than a quarter of a century and have worked both in the US and most European countries. I have lived in the U.S.A., Belgium and for the last many years in Denmark close to Copenhagen. I have now returned to Vendsyssel and a life with art and other creative activities.
Artistically I am autodidactic and I didn\'t discover my urge to be creative in the area of sculpturing and art until late in life.
It all started during a visit to the local building supply market - resulting in that I brought home a large light weight building block. Soon this was transformed into my first sculpture. I was urged to have this molded in bronze. Since then I have created many additional sculptures in this material as well as in clay and wood. Most of these have been molded in solid bronze. The molding is done in sand, consequently the sculptures are solid and very heavy. My biggest sculptures weight as much as 50 to 60 kg.
My style is best described as abstract, but strongly influenced by the human anatomy and all other of natures creations and shapes. My most influential inspiration is the female body and the ocean.
