Audrey Sebastian, artist, born in Oakland, California in 1970. She is the daughter of quilt maker, Meredyth Sebastian who encouraged her daughter to follow her dreams as an artist and continues to be one of her biggest fans. As a child, Audrey lived many places throughout life including Europe due to her military upbringing. Although she has a love for travel, she considers Chicago her home. She studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA but returned to Illinois to finish up her Bachelor's of Art at Columbia College in downtown Chicago where she networked and met incredible artists who also make art their life's work. Upon graduation, Audrey set up a studio to work and started selling her paintings to art collectors who found her by word of mouth. Throughout her twenties, she exhibited at an extensive list of small venues, including her own private and working studio space in Bucktown , a small artist community in Chicago's Northwest side. She then began to seek small coffee shops to hang shows and continued her growth with many sales.
Currently, Ms. Sebastian's art can be viewed and purchased via Internet and may be seen regularly in Chicago's fine art venues which are sighted in the art section of Chicago periodicals. She is also affiliated with venues in Scottsdale, Arizona and Miami, Florida also listed in art periodicals in those cities on occasion. Her body of work is finding its way to international shores as well as private homes and large corporate offices across the United States. Audrey has had success in finding a comfortable but challenging niche in the art world and it isn't over yet. Her most famous quote, "Did you know I am going to be famous...". That isn't a question.
