Born and residing in Oregon, I was a
restaurant owner delving into the culinary arts
before discovering photography and computers a few
years ago. Drawing has always been a hobby of mine.
Having no previous education in art, I experimented freely
combining my love for all three mediums. As you can see,
my art reflects the perception of myself (yes, I am
a Gemini) and those around me. In most images, I find a
natural inclination towards incorporating elements in sets of
two expressing the dueling natures within the Gemini. Dark and light
are almost always defined. I feel I have embraced unconventionality
and it has been very well received by others.
Some of my influences are James Abbe, Maxfield Parrish,
Icart, Mapplethorpe, Klimt, H.R. Giger, and Salvador Dali.
I have tried to focus on more classical effects in a modern digital
medium. Layers of meaning and symbolism as well as visual layers
are present. The colors used are very specific in their symbolism
which is repeated throughout my work.
Below you will find an opportunity to donate money
towards my "Starving Artist Fund" which I began recently to aid
in my artistic endeavors. If you enjoy my work and would like to
offer a little monetary encouragement Please feel free to donate any
amount by clicking on the button below and know that it will
be greatly appreciated and put to good artistic use...
A striking sensuality with a dreamlike quality...touching, spiritual, surreal and sometimes brutal art imitating life.
